Welcome back everyone to a new season! The Shark Tank is back in action with plenty of new and exciting
plans for the season ahead!
Our new timetable is live on the website and bookings are open for Holiday Intensives and Term 4
Learn to Swim and Squad Training. Friday night Club nights will also resume on the first Friday night
after the holidays on October the 11 th .
Our new timetable has more options than ever before and includes:
Learn to Swim and Squad Classes
New Saturday Learn to Swim classes including those suitable for babies and toddlers.
Adult Learn to Swim @ $5 per session
Adult Squad and Lap sessions
A range of fitness classes including Aqua Fit, Circuit classes, Trigger and Stretch, Powerball
and Yoga.

Nominations for Club Captains and Vice Captains
Friday night Club Night
With the start of a new Club season comes the opportunity for our Year 5 swimmers to nominate for
positions as Captains for the Sharks.
The Sharks Captains and Vice-Captains will be chosen from swimmers who are in Yr 5 and will comprise of
one male and one female swimmer for each position.
You must have been an active Sharks Club member for the whole of the 2018/2019 season to be eligible
to nominate for the role.
Duties include:
Demonstrate high levels of leadership and personal behaviour
Attend regular Friday night club swims
Assist with Friday night club swimming duties including the assisted 12.5 metre swims, lane ropes
and equipment, set up and pack up.
Represent and lead the club at Carnivals and other events where required.
Make speeches and accept trophies on behalf of the Club where necessary
All nominees must place their name on the Nomination lists at Club Night, Friday 11 th October. If
you cannot attend on this evening please email your nomination through
to president@sherwoodsharks.com.
Nominees must prepare a brief 30 second speech to present to Club members on Friday the 16th of
October. A simple message is all that is required. No music, lolly giveaways or similar to keep the voting
fair. All Committee members and paid Club members from Grade 2 and above will be allowed to vote,
Captains will be announcedon Friday the 18 th of October at the beginning of the evening.
