Week 5 in the Tank
Get ready for an exciting Club Night this Friday as West Brisbane Aquatics (WBAC) Swim Club join us for a night of racing! The Club Night will run as per normal with the exception of 30 or so black WBAC caps…so make sure we can hear your support for our Sharks on the night. There will be a meat tray up for raffle, the Bar, BBQ and Canteen will be open for business. The weather forecast is looking a little wet but we will swim regardless of the rain. Please be sure to bring some warm clothing and wet weather gear if necessary! If we experience another storm, we will advise by email and on the website if the night needs to be cancelled due to lightning and unsafe swimming conditions.
Race nominations close at 5pm tonight. The link is on our website. Two points to consider:
- If you change your mind about the races your child will compete in, the most recent nomination will stand. Simply submit another.
- If you wish to withdraw your child after nominating please email sherwoodsharksqld@gmail.com by 4pm Friday afternoon so run sheets for the evening can be altered.
Oxley Road Cup
We have had an outstanding response from our Oxley Road Cup Team! Swimmers have been nominated for their events and these lists will be available tomorrow night at Club Night. Please be aware that there are often changes on the day due to illness, fatigue, early departures etc. We have done our very best to get it right. Please note the time change…Sunday 4th of March – 9am warm up, 10am racing.
Skills Session Friday 2nd March – All Oxley Road Cup swimmers are encouraged to attend Skills sessions next Friday afternoon. Tony will be working at skills particular to the carnival – starts, finishes, racing tips and relays. Session start time is 4.15 for all swimmers.
