Sherwood Swimmers shine at State Primary Championships

4 Sherwood swimmers competed at the QLD primary school swimming championships over the past few days.

Yinte Eerkens had a fantastic meet. Yinte finished 5th in the final of the girls 10yrs 100m Breaststroke. Yinte swam a massive PB of 1.37.76 which was a 2 second improvement on her heat swim. She then backed up the next day in the 50m Breaststroke where she swam an awesome 46.3 and finished 11th.

Jack Thompson swam a fast 36.8 in the 12yrs 50m Butterfly. Jack then swam a massive PB of 39.4 in his pet event the 50m Breaststroke to qualify 7th for the final. He then swam 39.9 in the final finishing 8th.

Adam Thompson swam 1.43 in the the 10yrs 100m Breaststroke finishing 11th. Adam then swam a fantastic 46.2 in the heats of the 50m Breaststroke qualifying 9th for the final!

Lottie Forno swam a massive PB of 34.5 in the heats of the girls 10yrs 50m Freestyle to qualify for the final. Lottie then swam another massive PB of 33.8 in the final to finish 8th. An incredible result.

All of these swimmers should be extremely proud of their results at these championships. All 4 swimmers made finals which is an extremely fantastic result. These results are a great reward for their hard training and dedication this term. Well done!
