The annual Oxley Cup involving Graceville, Oxley and Sherwood swimming clubs will take place next Sunday afternoon (9 March). This year Oxley Swimming Club is hosting, at Oxley State School. Warm up will be at 12.30 for a 1pm start to racing. This year the race list will be available on Meet Manager so you can see the order of events.
We are in the process of contacting swimmers to check their availability and finalise our team. If you haven’t already heard from us, you may do so over the next few days – the final race list has only just been received by us!
We need to provide 6 timekeepers for the meet: please see a committee member if you are able to help out.
As this meet has a fixed number of swimmers per club for each race, unfortunately we cannot invite everyone to swim in each event. If you have any questions, or want to confirm your availability for the meet, please see Coach Kendall.
In preparation for the meet, we’ll have relay practice sessions for our Oxley Cup swimmers this Thursday afternoon (from 5pm) and Friday afternoon (in place of our usual skills session from 4-5pm).
If parents come along to club night with their swimming gear, we’d also love to run a few fun parent – kid relay races on Friday night as well.
Finally, don’t our Club Captains and Vice Captains look great in their club shirts they were presented with last Friday night!
