As you all know, it has been a very busy time down at the Shark Tank over the last few weeks! The Sharks were in fabulous form racing against both the Oxley and Graceville Swim Clubs during the much anticipated Oxley Road Cup. 60 of our swimmers raced during the Sunday carnival to clock up a total of 147 seconds of personal best times and a very close 2nd place finish to Graceville Lightning!
The following week we hosted the WBAC Swim Club in an epic Friday night Meet with almost 130 swimmers in the pool racing during the evening. This was a great warm up for our Club Championships which took place on Friday night. Swimmers competed for Age Champion places and we saw some very close finishes and impressive efforts from all of our Club members. Our first, second and third place Age Champions will be announced this Friday night at our Season Break Up. The action will begin at 6pm with novelty racing, games, free swim and award presentations. The Canteen, BBQ and Bar will be open for business as usual.
Skills session will be running at normal times this Friday afternoon with Intermediate at 4.15pm and Seniors at 4.45pm.
*This will be the last week of Club Night, Skills sessions and Learn to Swim/Transition Squad (Fridays) with all other squads concluding in Week 10.
We would like to wish one of our own Sharks, Charlie Wehl, the best of luck as he heads to the State Championships at Chandler during the week. Charlie will be representing Met West in the freestyle…Good luck Charlie and congratulations on such a great achievement!
Dont’t forget…Intensive classes are being offered over the upcoming school holiday period.
This is a 5 day program running in the second week of the school holidays from Monday the 9th of April to Friday the 13th of April. The cost is $75.

Term Two Swimming
The Sharks will also be offering a 6 week swim program during Term 2.
The program will run on Tuesday and Thursdays offering both morning and afternoon sessions. We will run from Week 1 to Week 6 of Term 2 (Tuesday 17th of April to Thursday the 24th of May).
