Final Club Night and End of Season arrangements

The end of season is approaching – here are some details about arrangements for the next couple of weeks:

Final Club Night takes place this Friday night at our usual 5.30 pm time slot. This week is our presentation night, when we take the opportunity to recognise our swimmers for:

  • perseverance and effort during training (Coach’s encouragement awards: senior, intermediate and mini squad; hammerheads and nemos pre-squad groups)
  • consistent participation and improvement throughout the season at club nights (overall club champion: boy and girl)
  • age champion awards and participation at our recent club championships (all participants receive something on presentation day)

Please join us on Friday afternoon when we will have a free sausage sizzle, some fun relays and free swims (weather permitting).

Please bring along a plate of food to share. We will be selling off stock in the canteen but apart from the sausage sizzle and hot dogs, our usual dinner options will not be available.

If weather conditions are really horrible, we’ll present the awards at the new school hall.

Please check our website Friday afternoon for final location details as the weather forecast is uncertain.

Training and lessons continue in the final two weeks of term. There will be no club night or skills session on the last Friday night of term but learn to swim lessons will still take place.

Please let Coach Andrew know if your child will not be coming to your final learn to swim lesson on the last Friday of term.

Breakfasts will continue until the end of term except for the last Friday morning of term.

A HUGE thank you to Kim Pritchard and Pauline Goldie who have volunteered their time to help me out in the canteen over these last few weeks while Asta has been recuperating. I have really appreciated your help and we know there are lots of kids and parents who appreciate this service!!!

We look forward to seeing all our swimmers and their families on Friday night.
