Swimmer Responsibilities
We ask that all swimmers are on the pool deck, ready to swim 5 minutes prior to class commencement with all swim equipment ready. It is disruptive to the program if children arrive late.
We also ask that all swimmers behave appropriately during squad training and Learn to Swim lessons. We consider swimming at the Sherwood Sharks to be a privilege. We are very fortunate to have such a strong school-based club and are particularly fortunate to have excellent coaches. They are very dedicated and put a lot of effort and their own time into getting the best out of your children. With this privilege comes responsibility. The behaviour of all Sherwood Shark swimmers must be impeccable both in and out of water. Parents are advised that children who disrupt the squad or LTS lessons will be warned. If the behaviour continues they will be asked to hop out of the water and if necessary they will be sent back to their waiting parent.
Parents Responsibility
As parents, it is your responsibility to ensure your children are supervised at all times while in the pool grounds. It is absolutely not acceptable for children to be at the pool without a supervising adult. None of our coaches or Learn to Swim teachers are responsible for your children while they are not in the pool.
Parents are also responsible for ensuring fees are paid in a timely manner. Discounts/refunds will only be considered under exceptional circumstances and will need to be presented to and approved by the Sherwood Sharks Committee.
I am sure you will agree that these rules will allow the coaches and our LTS teachers to run a smooth, effective program to all children. We would appreciate you discussing these matters with your children and look forward to an exciting season of swimming.
