The Sharks will be offering an exciting 5 or 6 week swim program during Term 3 in our fantastic heated pool.
Details of the program will be announced in early August – stay tuned and watch this space for further details.
We are also working on some exciting changes for the new season so please keep a close eye out for our upcoming announcements.
Our Annual General Meeting was held on Tuesday the 12th of June. All Committee and Executive Positions were filled. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all retiring committee members for their hard work as volunteers for the club.
Our President Scott Boothey resigned from the position as the last of his children leave Sherwood this year. Scott has been a wonderful Leader to our Executive Committee, always full of ideas and motivation. We largely have Scott to thank for our toasty warm pool!
Jodi Holmes has also been a constant and vital part of the Sharks for many years with her often demanding role of Registrar (among other things). We will still see Jodi on the Pool Deck until the end of the year when the last of the Holmes children finish at Sherwood. Jodi…I’m not sure how we would have managed without you!
Elke Hughes has stepped down from her role on the Committee after years serving as President, Vice President, Committee Member and the many other jobs found around the pool. Your dedication and enthusiasm will be missed Elke!
Saying that we welcomed a record number of attendees at our AGM and I would like to issue a big welcome to our new and returning Committee Members.
