Last Friday night the Sharks celebrated 50 years as a Swim Club in the local Community. The Shark Tank as we now know it, was built in 1967 at cost of over 10 000 pounds, with funds raised by the local community. The swim club began the following year in 1968. From its humble beginnings, the Sharks has grown to a thriving community of over 100 swimmers who gather weekly to compete, make new friends and have a lot of fun along the way. The success of our club would not have been possible without the past and present Committee members, coaches, P&C, school and most importantly, the enthusiasm from our swimmers and their families…so thank you!
Our celebrations kicked off with some racing before parents joined in the action, dusting off the goggles to race their children in the relays. This was followed by a fabulous birthday cake accompanied by some rowdy singing from the crowd. We topped off the night with a free swim and disco with some truly memorable limbo and dance moves from the kids. Thanks to all for a fun night and maybe we will see some of you back in the Tank for the 100 year celebration!

Term One Swimming
Term 1 2019 Sign On is Open!
Squad and lessons commence in Week 1, Tue 29 Jan 2019 and will run for 10 weeks.
Please note all existing swimmers have been rolled over to Term 1 2019 into the same sessions as this term except for those who have advised us of changes over the past week. If you would like to make a change please email enquiries@sherwoodsharks.com Invoices will be sent out soon. Payment is required before your child/ren start back in the water in week 1 2019.
For our new swimmers please follow the below link to sign up for swim lessons and club. By completing this online registration your child/ren will be placed in a queue for the lessons you have selected. Once the requests are processed (in order of being received) we will confirm via email your child’s place in each lesson and you will be invoiced before classes start.
If you are unsure of your child’s level please come to the pool this week for a quick grading session (10th – 14th December). Camilla will need a couple of minutes to assess their level. Times available for grading are Monday 4.15pm-4.45pm, Wednesday 4.15pm-4.45pm and Thursday 5pm-5.15pm.
There will also be opportunity for grading from Monday 21 to Friday 25 January daily from 11am-11.15am.

Holiday Intensives
Bookings for our Holiday Intensive Program are now open. Our Intensive classes will take place during the last week of the school holidays (21-25 January 2019).
The program will consist of morning sessions and will cater for our Squad and Learn to Swim children. If you have children in Vacation Care we can make arrangements for them to be delivered to the pool at the appropriate time.
The block of 5 daily sessions (Mon to Fri) is $79 per student (individual days are not available for sale)
The timetable will run as follows:
- Senior Squad – 7am-8.30am
- Intermediate Squad – 7am-8.30am
- Mini Squad – 8.30am – 9.30am
- Learn to Swim – 30 minute sessions from 9.30am
- Beginner Learn to Swim – 30 minute sessions from 9.30am
- Grading of new swimmers – starting at 11am – 11.15am (as stated above)
