Welcome back everyone! With this beautiful warm weather it’s the perfect time to get back into swimming. Here’s all the info you need to know for our 2014 start:
When does swimming start again? We start back in the second week of school i.e. Monday 3rd February. All our swim squads (mini, intermediate, senior), pre-squad groups (Hammerheads & Nemos), learn to swim (Squirts) and adult swimming start from this date.
I haven’t signed on yet – can I still enrol? Yes, but places are limited in the pre-squad groups and learn to swim. Squads still have good availability.
Squad swimmers can sign on this Thursday afternoon (January 30th) at the pool (from 3.15 pm) or by making your payment on line and sending the enrolment and payment forms through to our treasurer and squad co-ordinator. If you are a new swimmer to our club, aren’t sure of the appropriate level, or can’t remember whether you’ve already booked in, please contact Vanessa, our squad co-ordinator. Our forms are all available on our website.
Pre-Squad swimmers and Learn to Swim students should contact Vanessa, our squad co-ordinator, directly about available places. At the time of posting, the available places are:
Nemos: one place on a Monday and Tuesday afternoon
Hammerheads: 2 places on a Monday and Wednesday afternoon
Squirts: 3 places left in the 4.45 Friday time-slot
If these times and days don’t suit, Vanessa keeps a waiting list of interested swimmers and families, as there is often some movement around in the first few weeks.
Adult swimmers can sign on this Thursday afternoon (January 30th) at the pool (from 3.15 pm) or by making your payment on line and sending the enrolment and payment forms through to our treasurer and squad co-ordinator. Please note that adult swimming takes place at the same time as our senior squad, mornings and afternoons. Our forms are all available on our website.
When do Friday Night club nights start again? We start back in the second week of school i.e. Friday 7th February. We welcome existing and new swimmers! We are making some changes to our program this year and will run assisted 12.5m races, unassisted 15m races (from the deep end), as well as our usual 25m, 50m and 100m events.
We look forward to seeing you all soon around the pool deck!!
