Sherwood Sharks
We are thrilled to announce that the Shark Tank is now operational. The required work has been completed and we thank you for your understanding over the previous months. Huge thanks go to Mr Wayne Brown for his upkeep of the pool during this time, to Education Qld, the School Administration and our Sharks Committee, for the parts they have played in preparing such a wonderful resource for our swimmers.
Unfortunately, during our closure, we have lost some coaching staff. However, despite this, we hope to provide the best opportunities we can in the circumstances.
Learn to Swim
There will be no Learn to Swim offered in Term 1.
All Learn to Swim credits issued for Term 1 will now be refunded at 40% of the original cost (as offered last term when only 3 weeks of the block were available). You must download, complete and return the online reimbursement (request for refund) form by the 10th of February to receive your refund. Any request not received by this date will be considered a donation to the Club. The reimbursement form can be found below:
If you have already submitted the form and have not received a response can you, please resend to payments@sherwoodsharks.com. We had a server issue in early December which disrupted our accounts department receiving your requests.
We do apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Squad
We are pleased to offer Squad sessions starting in Week 4 on Monday 13th February. Our coach Kelly Perkins and assistant Ellie, will be running squad sessions from Monday to Thursday…MORNINGS ONLY.
6am to 7.30am – Senior Squad
7.30 to 8.30am – Intermediate Squad
7.30 to 8.15am – Mini Squad.
These sessions will run through up to and including Thursday March 30th (Week 10 of Term 1).
Payment
New swimmers – $90
Swimmers who received a refund during Term 4 – $90
All other existing squad members (including those who received a credit or attended some sessions at Dunlop Pool in Term 4) will be free of charge.
How to register
New Swimmers ONLY will be required to complete the online registration and medical forms found on our website (sherwoodsharks.com) and bring these to your first squad session.
As students arrive at Squad, their names will be recorded and your invoice for the term (if applicable) will be emailed.
There is no need to pre-book your preferred sessions.
Club Nights
Our Club Nights will recommence in Week 3 on Friday the 10th of February. The usual timetable will apply with registrations closing at 5.45pm and racing commencing at 6pm. Our Canteen will be operating selling chips, drinks, ice blocks and BBQ items.
The cost for the term is $25 per swimmer or $65 for a family.
How to register and pay
Your name will be recorded at registration and an invoice will be emailed.
Remember if you are a new family keen to check out our Friday Night Meets please come along and try it out! First night is free.
We understand that these arrangements may not suit everyone. Please email payments@sherwoodsharks.com with any further requests.
Finally, we will be holding our bi annual Working Bee to make sure the grounds surrounding the pool are in great condition. All and any assistance would be greatly appreciated on Sunday 5th February from 3pm!
